Chemical properties
It is co-heated with liquid ammonia or concentrated sulfuric acid, or does not react with potassium hydroxide co-melting. Not reduced by hydrogen, strong heat does not decompose but sublimation, the nature is very stable. Heating to 300-400 ℃ can be partially decomposed by water vapor into hydrogen fluoride and alumina.
function & amp; usage
Mainly used in aluminum refining production, in order to reduce melting point and improve the conductivity of electrolytes. An inhibitor used as a secondary fermentation in alcohol production. It is also used as a component of flux and glaze for ceramic glaze and enamel glaze. It can also be used as a flux for smelting non-ferrous metals.
Precautions
Hazard overview
Health hazard: Decomposition product hydrogen fluoride has irritation, can cause eye, respiratory tract mucosal stimulation symptoms, serious can occur bronchitis, pneumonia, and even produce reflex asphyxia.
Explosion Hazard: The product is non-flammable, toxic and irritating, seriously damaging the mucous membranes, upper respiratory tract, eyes and skin.
First Aid measures
Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing and rinse the skin thoroughly with soapy water and water.
Eye Contact: Lift the eyelids and rinse with flowing water or saline. Medical treatment.
Inhalation: Quickly detach from the scene to fresh air. Keep the airways unobstructed. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If breathing stops, perform artificial respiration immediately. Medical treatment.
Intake: Drink plenty of warm water and vomit. Medical treatment.
Fire protection measures
Hazard characteristic: A violent reaction with alkali metal can occur.
Harmful combustion Products: hydrogen fluoride, alumina.
Fire extinguishing method: Use a lot of water to extinguish the fire. Use foggy water to disperse smoke and irritating gases.
Emergency treatment
Emergency treatment: Isolation of leaking contaminated areas, restricted access. Emergency handlers are advised to wear dust masks (full cover) and wear anti-virus clothing. Do not touch the leak directly.
Small leakage: Avoid dust and collect it in a dry, clean, covered container with a clean shovel.
A large number of leaks: collection of recycling or transportation to waste treatment sites for disposal.
Disposal of storage
Operation precautions: Closed operation, local exhaust. Operators must undergo specialized training and strictly abide by the operating procedures. It is recommended that the operator wear a self-priming filter dust mask, wear chemical safety protective glasses, wear breathable anti-virus clothing, wear latex gloves. Avoid dust generation. Avoid contact with acids. Be light and unloaded during handling to prevent damage to packaging and containers. Equipped with leak emergency treatment equipment. Empty containers may be residual to harmful objects.
Storage precautions: Store in a cool, ventilated storeroom. Packaging seal. Should be stored separately from acids and edible chemicals, avoid mixing. Storage areas should be equipped with suitable materials to accommodate leaks.
